Review of the National Environment Protection (Ambient Air Quality) Measure – Air Quality Standards Discussion Paper
In August 2010, the National Environmental Protection Council (NEPC) conducted a consultation and released a discussion paper related to the review of the National Environment Protection (Ambient Air Quality) Measure – Air Quality Standards.
ACE attended the consultation and made a submission. A copy of the NEPC presentation and the ACE submission can be found here.
It was interesting to note the new scientific data that suggests that for almost all of the criteria pollutants, there is no level of exposure that does not have an adverse health effect, and that in many instances, adverse health outcomes are being observed at current levels of pollutants in Australia.
